TITLE: Achat de Chevaux

DESCRIPTION: Be sure to visit The Achat de Chevaux in Paris. The façade of the 18th century building was embellished with this mosaic work in 1946, and is signed H. Frezza, Paris. It used to be a butcher shop, and yes, they sold horse meat. The mosaic is still in excellent condition and is done entirely in hand-nipped vitreous glass. The shop is now a women's clothing store called Kazana. This is one of the nicest public mosaics in a really fun neighborhood.
