TITLE: Play Space
ARTIST: Kim Emerson
LOCATION: Harding Family Community Center , 411 N 15th Street
DESCRIPTION: This project was a collaboration with nationally acclaimed Spokane, Washington artist Harold Balasz, community volunteers, and local teens. The mosaics created by Emerson and teen girls consists of 125 square feet depicting the nature, story and folklore of this remote northern Idaho town. The mosaic tile installation is adhered to the symbolic entranceway to the play area created by Balasz and his volunteers. (2001)
