LOCATION: 903 Grant Street
DESCRIPTION: Entryway of a shop in San Francisco's Chinatown. The Chinese characters read (from R-L): Fat Ming Company, which was founded in 1908 after the 1906 earthquake. This is the only example of an old mosaic with Chinese characters that I've found.
