TITLE: Ammonites
ARTIST: Bärbel Engelbrecht
LOCATION: 89547 Gerstetten, Train station
DESCRIPTION: he sculpture is a mixture of art and nature. It tries to blend modern materials – today – and primeval times - millions of years’ old fossils.
The stacked ammonites stand for the sea (bottom), land (middle) and air (top). I wanted to show the path of life, conquering the seas at first and then expanding over land and finally, within eons, into the air.
This sculpture is a part of the sculpture path "UMoSSA", opened in 2014
