TITLE: Cattle LOCATION: Monaro Highway DESCRIPTION: Cattle were used for many things in the area. Bullocks were used to haul large and heavy loads on wagons and slides. Dary cows were vital for the area. Many of the cattle were walked to markets in major regional areas and in later years motorised transport made the trip to market an easier process produced as part of the Cooma Bicential Project in 1988.
