LOCATION: Apartment building near Tashkent's famous flea market on the outskirts of the city
DESCRIPTION: Soviet style architectural tile mosaic on the side of a 9 story apartment building. After the 1966 earthquake which almost leveled the city, many of these apartment bulding were built with mosaics on the walls. Often the mosaics celebrate the region of Russia from which the workers came to work on the building.
