LOCATION: San Francisco Zoo, 1 Zoo Road
DESCRIPTION: This pair of large mosaics graced the old northern entrance to the zoo just outside of the giftshop. Since the recent renovation of the zoo and relocation of the entrance, these are now very obscurely placed in a now dark outdoor hallway. They are made of an interesting but successful mixture of smalti and 3/4" vitreous placed with the notched side out.
