ARTIST: Cheryl Morse LOCATION: Port Orford Overlook DESCRIPTION: Port Orford is the oldest town on the Oregon Coast and the most westerly town in Oregon, thus one of the windiest, as well. Only port in Oregon that has to hoist boats in and out of the water. Whales hang out in the sea, below the mosaic, all summer long. Mosaic is built with Vitreous Glass, Art Glass and Ceramic tiles. It depicts the sea life that lives in the waters behind it, as well as the surrounding landscape and wind. Our local landmark, Cape Blanco Lighthouse, is pictured, as well.
