TITLE: Hands of Grace
ARTIST: Elizabeth Raybee
LOCATION: Hudson Elementary School
DESCRIPTION: The children & teachers of the school made clay hand tiles which were incorporated into the mural using masks & images from the kids drawings done in their native studies classes. The 4th, 5th & 6th graders constructed the mural on mesh; then a group of parent volunteers helped me install and grout it on a concrete retaining wall. This 3 month project was funded by a Get Art in Schools Program grant offered jointly by the Mendocino County Office of Education and the Arts Council of Mendocino County.
