TITLE: Bedford Medieval Map Mosaic

LOCATION: In front of castle mound, Castle Park
DESCRIPTION: A 9m diameter circluar floor mosaic depicting Bedford's medieval heritage. The mosaic is constructed from 50x50mm unglazed ceramic (Porcelain) and has been carried out in the black and white 'Ostia" style. Details include: a Saxon Serpent border; King Offa; the Viking raid; Edward the Elder.
