LOCATION: In the "Capo" outdoor vegetable market on via Cappuccinelle.
DESCRIPTION: This art nouveau mosaic on the outside of a bread bakery is made of smalti, stained glass, custom ceramic tile, and ceramic tile with glass fired into it. The woman is surrounded by a wreath of wheat sheaves. This mosaic is still quite well preserved considering its location. A few pieces are missing from the bottom.
Definitely worth seeking out if you are in Palermo, this mosaic was made by a very skilled artist.
