TITLE: Community Mosaics, Ludo Board and Playground Markers
ARTIST: Jan O'Highway
LOCATION: St John's Square, Gosport, Hampshire
DESCRIPTION: These mosaics form part of a community inspired scheme to improve the play area for the flats. It is not generally open to the public, but can easily be seen from the road, and local events are occasionally held here. The themes and designs were drawn up by the residents in consultation with Paul Best (Gosport Borough Council's Landscape Architect) Groundwork Trust, and Lead Artist Jan O'Highway. Mosaics are 12" diameter, porcelain and glazed tile set in steel rings on cement base, epoxy resin grout.
