TITLE: Mosaic fragment LOCATION: Leptis Magna - still in situ uncovered and unprotected DESCRIPTION: Leptis magna is the largest surviving Roman city outside of Rome itself. Most of the mosaic floors have been transferred to a special Museum constructed on the site. Some mosaic fragments still remain in situ but are uncovered, unprotected and starting to deteriorate.
