DESCRIPTION: Stobi was once the ancient town of Paionia, later conquered by Macedon, and later still incorporated into the Roman province of Macedonia Salutaris. It is considered by many to be the most famous archaeological site in the Macedonia. Today Stobi is in Gradsko, a village with about 3,000 people.
